2014 marked 35 years since the Egan family took over the Black Bull Inn in Drogheda.  Back then it was little more than a country pub and shop.  Paul and Margie Egan moved in and began to build a thriving business downstairs while raising a family upstairs.  The Black Bull Inn gradually established itself as a landmark on the Dublin Road, enjoying a fantastic reputation not only for the fine quality food and drink but for the warm and inviting atmosphere.

Taking over the business from their parents in 2002, Jon Paul and Charly Egan have grown the business substantially while retaining the same commitment to quality for which The Bull has become synonymous since those early days.

The Egan brothers have retained their strong customer base while attracting a new generation with the introduction of two new bars - the brand new China Shop and a new and improved Itzabar which was renovated in July 2015.  

With the finest gastro fare on offer from morning til night, live music at weekends and live sporting events on show in Itzabar, there's something for everyone at The Bull.
